A csecsemőkori és kisgyermekkori keratoplastika – nem véletlenül – még a nagyobb szemészeti centrumokban is viszonylag
ritkán végzett beavatkozás. A szaruhártya megbetegedésén kívül ugyanis gyakran észlelhető az elülső szegmentum komp-
lex fejlődési rendellenessége, mely nem ritkán más szervrendszerek eltéréseivel is társul. Az életkor miatt minden műtéti
beavatkozás kizárólag altatásban végezhető, ez a diagnosztikai vizsgálatok nagy részére is érvényes. Ezért multidisciplináris
team-munkára van szükség. A műtét is sok esetben nagy nehézséget jelent és számos szövődménnyel járhat, de a postoperatív
kezelés rendkívül nagy kihívás. Sikeres műtét után az amblyopia ellenes kezelés komoly feladatot jelent. Jelen kurzusunkban
szeretnénk komplex módon áttekinteni a gyermekkorban végzett keratoplastikák indikációit, a preoperatív diagnosztika lehe-
tőségeit, a műtét menetét és nehézségeit, valamint a postoperatív kezelés és amblyopia ellenes küzdelem buktatóit is.

Keratoplasty in infancy and childhood is – not by accident – a relatively rare procedure, even in larger eye centres. In addition to corneal
disease, complex anomalies of the anterior segment, often associated with abnormalities in other organ systems, are commonly seen. In this
age all surgical procedures – as well as most diagnostic tests – can only be performed under general anaesthesia. This requires a multidiscip-
linary approach. Surgery is often difficult and can lead to many complications, while postoperative treatment is a major challenge as well.
After successful surgery, the treatment of amblyopia is another serious task. In this course, we intend to provide a comprehensive overview of
the indications for paediatric keratoplasty, the prospects of preoperative diagnostics, the course and difficulties of surgery, and the pitfalls of
postoperative and anti-amblyopic treatment.
